Throughout his 10 years in the Major Leagues, Jim Johnson has earned a reputation as one of the game's top relievers. Debuting as a starter with the Baltimore Orioles halfway through the 2006 season, Johnson would eventually find his niche in the bullpen as the team's closer. In that role he set the team's single-season record in 2012 when he registered 51 saves. That same year he was selected to the All-Star game and was given the AL Rolaids Relief Man Award; he would lead the league in saves in both 2012 and 2013. After his time with the Orioles, Johnson went on to have stints with the Oakland A's, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers and currently the Los Angeles Angels where he continues to be one of the league's most respected relievers.
