Welcome to the Major League Baseball Players Association
The Major League Baseball Players Association Is the union that represents Players on the 40-man Major League rosters, as well as approximately 5,500 Minor League players employed by the 30 Major League baseball teams. The MLBPA also oversees MLB Players, Inc., which exclusively represents the group commercial and licensing activities involving active players.
On behalf of its members, the union also operates the Major League Baseball Players Trust (www.trust.mlbplayers.com), a 501(c)3 charitable foundation that harnesses the expertise, influence, and passions of players to create meaningful and sustainable change in the lifelong well-being of others.
MLB Players, Inc.
MLBPA holds the exclusive, worldwide right to use, license and sublicense the names, numbers, nicknames, likenesses, signatures, playing records and biographical data (known as “publicity rights”) of all active MLB players for use in or in connection with any brand, product, service or product line in various circumstances.
AGENTS
The Major League Baseball Players Association (“MLBPA”) is the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all Major League Baseball Players and individuals preparing to negotiate a Major League contract. Only MLBPA General Certified Agents may represent or advise a represent or advise a player in negotiating the terms of a Major League contract.
Players Trust
The Players Trust began in 1996 as a vehicle for MLB Players to come together as one team using their collective voice to make an impact where it’s needed most. The cornerstone of the Trust remains at the forefront of everything we do: all MLB Players are passionate about improving the lives of those in need.
