NEW YORK, Feb. 22, 2021 – The Major League Baseball Players Association today issued the following statement with regard to recent remarks made by Seattle Mariners President Kevin Mather:
The Club’s video presentation is a highly disturbing yet critically important window into how Players are genuinely viewed by management. Not just because of what was said, but also because it represents an unfiltered look into Club thinking. It is offensive, and it is not surprising that fans and others around the game are offended as well. Players remain committed to confronting these issues at the bargaining table and elsewhere.

NUEVA YORK, 22 de febrero de 2021 - La Asociación de Peloteros de Grandes Ligas emitió hoy la siguiente declaración con respecto a las recientes declaraciones hechas por el presidente de los Seattle Mariners, Kevin Mather:
La presentación de video del Club es una ventana muy preocupante, pero de importancia crítica sobre cómo los Peloteros son realmente vistos por la gerencia. No solo por lo que se dijo, sino también porque representa una mirada sin filtros al pensamiento del Club.
Es ofensivo, y no es sorprendente que los fanáticos y otras personas en el juego también se sientan ofendidos. Los Peloteros siguen comprometidos a enfrentar estos problemas en la mesa de negociaciones y en otros lugares.
