Major League Baseball Players Association Executive Director Tony Clark today issued the following statement regarding the passing of Scott Sanderson:

“Scott was a leader among player leaders who rose to meet the challenges that presented themselves at one of the crucial moments in our union's history, urging his fellow players with dignity, clarity and conviction to consider future generations of players in a way that resonated during our 1994-95 strike and which still resonates today.”
