NEW YORK, JUNE 11 – The Players Trust, the charitable arm of the Major League Baseball Players Association, today released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year of player engagement and more than $1 million invested in programs and causes important to Major and Minor League Players.
Throughout the year, over 200 active Major League Players partnered with the Trust on efforts that created tangible impact across the United States and abroad, including Belize, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, and Venezuela.
“For 30 years, the Players Trust and our Players have driven meaningful change within our communities,” said Players Trust Executive Director, Amy Hever. “In 2025, we saw the partnership between Players and the Trust grow stronger than ever. The leadership, energy, and care the Players brought was indispensable, and the impact they had in their communities was profound.’’
The 2025 report reflects that commitment. Many MLB Players want to give back to the next generation of players and leaders through the game they love. In response, the Trust has implemented multiple educational programs and sport clinics that use baseball to connect and inspire students around the world.
Through the MLB Players STEM League, a partnership with the nonprofit Learn Fresh, more than 30,000 middle schoolers sharpened their leadership, team building and math skills using a baseball-themed board game. The Players Exchange initiative continued in collaboration with Level Up Village, virtually uniting over 1,000 students from around the world to participate in collaborative challenges that encourage cross-cultural understanding and creative thinking.
Additionally, Players collaborated with the Trust to invest in more than 220 organizations, receiving an additional $483K in financial support through the Double Play Matching Gift Program.
"For 30 years, the Players Trust has reflected the heart of the player community — a commitment to giving back in meaningful, impactful ways,” said Chris Capuano, Chair of the Players Trust Board of Trustees. “As a former player, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply personal this work is for our members, and as Chair, I’m incredibly proud of the scale, reach, and integrity of what this organization delivers. The 2025 Annual Report captures not just a year of impact, but the collective effort of generations of players who believe in strengthening communities through the game they love.”
