Dave Stewart joins Stitch x Stitch with a rare, full spectrum view of baseball’s labor history, shaped by his years as a World Series MVP, Roberto Clemente Award winner, player agent, and MLB general manager. Stewart reflects upon his youth in Oakland, when a brief encounter with Giants icon Willie Mays kindled a love for baseball that would last a lifetime. He lived his dream with the help of Dusty Baker, Davey Lopes and other veteran teammates as a young pitcher with the Dodgers in the early 1980s. More than 40 years later, Stewart remains committed to sharing those early lessons and honoring the contributions of those who paved the way.
