As a high schooler, Pitcher Derek Diamond turned his life around with the help of an inspiring school leader, Mr. Plum, and his community service group - Ramona High School Fusion Club.

"I knew exactly who I wanted to donate to when this opportunity arose."

Now, Derek has teamed with the Players Trust to help Ramona High School Fusion Club continue to make a difference in his California hometown. Ramona High School Fusion Club strives to make students feel valued and connected - we loved watching Derek join in to replace old lockers, install new benches, and help rebuild the school that played a huge part in building him.

Derek's initiative is part of Players’ Purpose, a Players Trust program that empowers Minor League Players to bring their charitable ideas to life. As a new baseball season begins, we can't wait to continue helping Derek and other Players realize moments like this!
