MLB Players, Inc., the business arm of the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), unveiled its inaugural Players Collection in collaboration with Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA).

The Players Collection will consist of cards pulled by the ballplayers themselves and authenticated with a first-of-its-kind PSA pedigree. For the first time ever, baseball fans and card collectors alike will get the rare opportunity to own a piece of the game’s legacy on September 30, when 60 cards from this one-of-a-kind collection will go live at auction.

During Spring Training, MLB Players, Inc. filmed Players opening dozens of card boxes, capturing their reactions to various rare finds. This marks the first time in history that a set has been physically handled by the very athletes who define the game and authenticated in one standalone collection, in partnership with PSA. Along with the card, collectors will know which Player pulled it, and in some instances, be able to access a one-of-a-kind video of the Player pulling their card, adding exclusive insight, anecdotes and commentary.
