NEW YORK, Nov. 2 – 137 players were declared XX(B) free agents at the conclusion of the 2025 season. Additional Players may become XX(B) free agents after their options are resolved or pending option decisions in their Uniform Player Contracts.

MLBPA Attorney Jeff Perconte Promoted to General Counsel
The Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) today announced that veteran attorney Jeff Perconte has been promoted to the role of General Counsel, a position previously held by Matt Nussbaum, who was appointed interim deputy executive director last month.
