The Player Services department is the front line connection to Players, with staff members (Special Assistants) assigned to cover each of the 30 Clubhouses. These Special Assistants are all former Players, and they interact with our current constituency on a daily basis, to deliver messaging and provide assistance on a wide range of topics, including: Bargaining, allowance/moving reimbursement rights, on-field matters, injury inquiries, playing surface concerns, equipment guidelines, game rescheduling, and discipline issues. Player Services staff travels throughout the season to facilitate meetings with Players face-to-face at the ballpark, and works extensively with the Player Operations department to cover ongoing and discrete issues for Players year round.
