MLB Players, Inc. and Leaf sign Minor League licensing deal forbaseball trading cards

Updated: Sep 29

New York, June 30 – MLB Players, Inc., the business arm of the Major League Baseball Players

Association (MLBPA), has signed a new licensing agreement with Leaf to produce baseball trading cards

incorporating Minor League Player Name, Image, and Likeness rights.

In 2022, the MLBPA organized affiliated Minor League Players and welcomed them into the player

fraternity. As a result of this historic step, MLB Players, Inc. established a group licensing program like

the worldwide group licensing program that has been in place for several decades on behalf of all Major

League baseball players.

Leaf’s first licensed set is targeted for a July release date. Leaf Metal Baseball features the most

comprehensive Leaf baseball checklist available. Each card is printed on Metal technology and comes in

a wide variety of patterns and colors.
