LOS ANGELES and NEW YORK – (October 16, 2025) – MLB Players, Inc., the business arm of the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), and The Realest, the industry leader in next-gen authentication for sports and entertainment memorabilia, today announced a partnership to redefine how baseball fans connect with the game’s biggest stars through authentic memorabilia that merges the best of art, music, and baseball in a shared cultural language.
To officially launch the partnership, MLB Players, Inc., and The Realest are set to open a pop- up gallery from Oct. 16-21 in Shibuya, a cultural hub in the heart of Tokyo, featuring player- licensed collectibles and additional artwork curated by Saya Nomura of Japan’s renowned Nomura baseball family.
Built to emulate the aesthetic of a record store and celebrate Japan’s baseball legacy, the Tokyo pop-up gallery produced by BrandDeals.com will unveil and celebrate the partnership’s first line of collectibles: a set of vinyl records dubbed “The Players’ Greatest Hits” which pays homage to the walk-up songs and anthems from players including Shohei Ohtani, Yu Darvish, Seiya Suzuki, Aaron Judge, Bryce Harper and Mookie Betts.
All pieces in “The Players’ Greatest Hits” collection are designed by The Realest’s Founder and CEO Scott Keeney (aka DJ Skee), a cultural architect who has built a genre-defying career by fusing creativity, culture, and innovation across music, sports, and entertainment, while introducing artists including Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Post Malone, and more, to the world.
“This project is the perfect bridge between sport, sound, and style, and helps merge two collector worlds that have defined generations – vinyl and baseball cards,” said Keeney. “Our long-term collaboration with MLB Players, Inc. will allow us to honor baseball’s incredible culture with nostalgic storytelling that connects fans to the game and its players in an entirely new way.”
“Today’s Players are powerful drivers of pop culture, with a global fanbase that continues to grow,” said MLB Players, Inc. President Evan Kaplan. “This initiative is a key part of our broader strategy to connect with fans worldwide through unique, collectible products created by innovative artists and cultural tastemakers. We’re excited to team up with The Realest and BrandDeals.com on this creative partnership.”
“Our activation in Shibuya is more than just a pop-up — it’s a blueprint for how sports, culture, and commerce converge,” said QuHarrison Terry, President of BrandDeals.com. “The Realest and MLB Players, Inc. are setting a new standard for fan engagement and we’re so proud to collaborate with them on this journey.”
After making its international debut in Tokyo, “The Player’s Greatest Hits” collection will be available in the United States on Oct. 23 via TheRealest.com.
The Tokyo pop-up will also include additional Player-inspired memorabilia and apparel, as well as surprise limited drops and blind packs of Topps Project70 trading cards which feature DJ Skee-designed artwork featuring baseball’s biggest stars inside of reimagined iconic album covers.
The Realest leverages long-standing relationships and built trust with iconic musicians, entertainers, athletes and sports organizations to curate and authenticate items straight from the source. This allows the company to deliver truly uncommon collectibles and artifacts to the fans who treasure them most, while preserving legacy and redefining how stories are told through memorabilia, artifacts, apparel, and collectible goods.
