Statement from Executive Director Tony Clark on Albert Pujols’ milestone 700th home run

NEW YORK, Sept. 24 – Since reaching the Major Leagues in 2001, Albert has exemplified the very definition of what it means to be a Major League ballplayer. So, as we celebrate Albert’s landmark 700th home run, we also celebrate who he is on and off the field. Over his 22-year career, he has carried himself with grace, dignity and a strong sense of compassion for teammates, opponents, fans and the communities in which he has played. Congratulations Albert.
