The Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) announced today Tony Clark has resigned as executive director. Clark joined the MLBPAstaff as director of player relations in 2010 and succeeded Michael Weiner as executive director in 2013. He was the first former player to serve in the role.
The full executive board of Player representatives met this afternoon with MLBPA staff and outside counsel to discuss next steps; as always, the Players remain focused on their ongoing preparations for collective bargaining this year. The strength of this union is -- and will always be -- the solidarity of our membership. We have a long history of fighting for the rights of every Player, and we're committed to making sure we can continue that fight successfully.

Today, the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) continued negotiations with Major League Baseball by making its first proposal on the Rule 4 amateur draft.

Players Trust Names Hunter Greene Most Valuable Philanthropi...
The Players Trust, the charitable arm of the Major League Baseball Players Association, announced today that Cincinnati Reds pitcher Hunter Greene is the recipient of the fourth Most Valuable Philanthropist award for the 2026 season. The Players Trust will award a $10,000 grant split evenly between the Hunter Greene ‘17 Award at Notre Dame High School and the Chozen Grace Partnership.

The Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) today made a series of proposals under the umbrella of transactions, rosters and access to data as part of the ongoing collective bargaining negotiations with Major League Baseball. The current Collective Bargaining Agreement expires in December.
